Functional storage
The app stores your chosen language in localStorage (wideroute-language) until you clear it. A booking draft is stored in sessionStorage (wideroute-draft) during sign-in, removed when restored and otherwise lasts for the browser tab session. It can include your entered contact and journey details. Clear site data in your browser to remove these values.
Cookies and tracking
Wideroute uses the essential wideroute_session cookie for sign-in and access to your journeys. It lasts up to seven days and is deleted on sign-out. With your consent only, we use Google Analytics 4 (cookies _ga and _ga_*, up to 13 months; IP addresses anonymised) to understand how the site is used. No advertising cookies or pixels are used. Your choice is stored in localStorage (wideroute-consent); you can change it at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Rejecting analytics does not affect bookings.
External links
WhatsApp is a link, not an embedded chat widget: Meta is contacted when you open it. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google servers to fetch them. Address search, routing and maps use Google Maps Platform through our server, as explained in the privacy policy. Blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in or access to saved journeys.
